While working within my abstract fusion series, I completed a composition that subsequently evolved into its own series of paintings. I refer to these paintings as my "Lifeforms" series. With some influences from grafitti and animation art, combined with custom shapes that heighten an exaggerated 3D effect, and including some aspects of realism as well, this new series soon took on, literally, a life of its own. 

Viewers should keep in mind that all of these paintings are completed on one flat surface. Any 3D effects or the appearance of actual depth in these compositions are intentional illusions.

All of these oils are painted on MDF (medium density fiberboard) and float frameless, with a recessed support system, 1" from the wall. They have painted 1/4" edges and durable gloss varnishes.
