Abstract Fusion (started 2013)

The following is a cross-section of the first paintings in my "abstract fusion" series. I refer to the series as abstract fusion because the work combines some realism along with abstract elements, as well as a mix of different techniques and applications. Partway through this series I began painting on shaped boards to enhance a 3D effect. Later on, I began separating the "virtual panels" through the use of shadowing. Although painted on one continuous surface, some of the later paintings in this series are designed to create the illusion of multiple overlapping surfaces.

All of these oils are painted on MDF (medium density fiberboard) and float frameless, with a recessed support system, 1" from the wall. They have painted 1/4" edges and durable gloss varnishes. I browsed around your website, and I think is AWESOME and very interesting work of art; I LOVED the colors used on them. So many, is hard to pick and choose which ones are my favorites ones. Keep up the good work!!!
